We're proud to have in-house jewelers on our team who are ready to assist with your jewelry repair needs. Our expert team of jewelers offer a variety of jewelry repair services including, but not limited to, the list below:

Ring Sizing & Repair

From sizing your ring for a more secure fit to soldering your engagement ring & wedding band together, as well as general ring repair, our in-house jewelers can make sure your ring is comfortable and secure for everyday wear.

Stone Setting & Tightening

Our skilled in-house jewelers can assist with setting diamonds and gemstones into new mountings, as well as examining your current ring to ensure your current diamond or gemstone is secure & tight in it's setting.

Prong Repair

Prongs hold your diamonds and gemstones securely in place. It's normal for prongs to wear down over time so we recommend letting our jewelers inspect them every 6 months, in which case they can repair or replace them.

Rhodium Refinishing

Our jewelers can restore the luster in your white gold rings by reapplying a rhodium finish. We're happy to do this twice a year complimentary for all engagement rings purchased through us, or for a small fee if you purchased elsewhere.

Chain & Clasp Repair

It's common for chains and clasps to receive wear & tear on a normal basis for frequent use. Our in-house jewelers can assist with mending broken chains back together by use of a laser welder, as well repairing or replacing broken clasps.

Cleaning & Polishing

Your jewelry can lose some of its original luster over time. We're proud to inspect and clean your jewelry, as well as polish your engagement ring, wedding band, and other jewelry to bring it back to its original condition.

Can I bring my jewelry in for repair if it was purchased elsewhere?

Yes, our in-house jewelers are happy to perform repairs on jewelry purchased from Murphy Jewelers, as well as jewelry purchased elsewhere too.
Do you cut off rings?

Yes, if your ring is too tight and not easily removed, our jewelers can cut it safely off your hand. Please call our stores to make an appointment ahead of your visit to ensure our jewelers are available to assist.
Can I get an estimate before you begin my repair?

Yes, our team will provide a repair estimate before beginning any work so you understand the charges and can decide if you'd like to proceed. If any additional unforeseen charges arise as work begins, we will notify you for additional approval as well.
Is rhodium refinishing complimentary with my purchase?

We're happy to provide complimentary rhodium refinishing twice a year on all white gold engagement rings sold by Murphy Jewelers. If your ring was purchased elsewhere, the price is approximately $100 per ring.

How often should I bring my rings in to be inspected?

We recommend bringing your engagement ring and wedding band in to be inspected every 6 months. This allows our jewelers to ensure your stones are tight & secure in their mounting, prongs are not worn, etc — plus, our jewelers will perform a thorough cleaning and polishing to keep them looking just as nice as the day you bought them.
How much will my repair cost?

It's difficult for us to give a repair quote online without seeing the piece first with our own eyes. There are a lot of factors that go into a repair estimate, so it's best to bring your item into one of our stores and one of our team members will be happy to give you a quote after examining the item and consulting with our jewelers.
